Does it work without internet?
Loquira requires an internet connection for the translation pipeline. A stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection is sufficient — no high-speed fiber needed.
Can our volunteer A/V team set it up?
Yes. Loquira is designed for volunteers, not engineers. Open your laptop, share the QR code, and start. Most teams are running in under 5 minutes on their first try.
What languages are supported?
Loquira supports 225 audience languages. 51 include full audio translation, and 174 offer live text captions. The most popular church languages (English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Vietnamese) all include audio.
Do congregants need to download an app?
No. Listeners open a web browser, scan the QR code, and start listening. It works on any smartphone, tablet, or laptop — iPhone, Android, or any device with a browser.
How accurate is the translation?
Loquira uses Google's most advanced translation models. For common language pairs like English-Spanish, accuracy is excellent. You can also add a custom glossary for church-specific terms (biblical names, denominational vocabulary, pastor names).
Can we keep the same QR code every Sunday?
Yes. With Sunday Mode (recurring sessions), your church gets a permanent QR code and join URL that works every week — no need to reshare.
What about latency?
Listeners hear the translation in under one second. It's fast enough to follow along naturally with the sermon — no awkward pauses.
