Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Loquira ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including speakers, listeners, and account holders.

2. Description of the Service

Loquira provides a realtime speech-translation platform. A speaker speaks into a browser; the audio is transcribed, translated, and delivered to each listener in their chosen language as both text captions and natural-sounding speech. The Service is available through web browsers on desktop and mobile devices. No software installation is required.

3. Account Registration

To create sessions and access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation.

4. Free Tier

The Free tier provides a one-time trial of free language-hours. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes with up to 5 listeners and 2 output languages. Free tier accounts are limited to one per person — duplicate registrations are subject to suspension.

5. Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Max) are billed monthly on a subscription basis through Lemon Squeezy. Key terms:

• Language-hours are allocated on the billing date and expire at the end of each billing cycle (no roll-over)
• Each plan includes a free overage buffer — live sessions continue past the base allowance without additional charge
• Plans may be cancelled at any time — access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle

Enterprise plans are custom-priced and governed by a separate agreement.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law. Prohibited activities include:

• Transmitting illegal, harmful, or abusive content through the platform
• Attempting to bypass session limits, language caps, or billing mechanisms
• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
• Interfering with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
• Creating multiple free-trial accounts to circumvent the 2-hour lifetime limit

7. Intellectual Property

The Loquira name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. The Service and its underlying technology, including but not limited to the Go backend, React frontends, and design system, are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain all rights to the content you transmit through the Service, including your speech and presentation materials. We do not claim ownership of your content.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loquira and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
